Job summary

Lyra Health, Inc. is seeking contract psychiatrists to join its Lyra Clinical Associates network, delivering evidence-based care to children and adults through in-person and virtual visits across the US.

As a contract psychiatrist, you’ll perform intake evaluations, medication management, and follow-up appointments, with a focus on culturally responsive care; this role supports flexible scheduling and streamlined billing.

Qualifications

• Board-certified MD or DO in psychiatry.
• Unrestricted state license without disciplinary action.
• Active DEA license preferred.
• Office space to see patients in Conway, SC.

Responsibilities

• Practice comprehensive mental health medication management via intake appointment and regular follow-up appointments
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and longitudinal medication treatment
• Construct patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Follow evidence-based medication treatment that aligns with clinical best practice guidelines
• Experience and enthusiasm for working with minors (0–17) and adults

About the Opportunity

Lyra’s contract provider network is composed of in-person and virtual therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, and coaches across the US. We are looking for contract psychiatrists who are passionate about whole-person, whole family mental health care and working within a connected network to provide patients with easily accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality mental health care.

As a contract psychiatrist, you’ll provide evidence-based treatment via intake appointments and regular follow-up appointments for children (0-17) and adults. You'll conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management. Lyra makes it easy to refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services in tandem with your care.

You will provide care to individuals from a multitude of different backgrounds and experiences, as well as those with varying needs and abilities. We strive to continue to meet their unique needs by delivering culturally-responsive care—an approach that is mindful of the impact of cultural background on each person’s care experience.

Responsibilities

• Practice comprehensive mental health medication management via an intake appointment and regular follow-up appointments
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and longitudinal medication treatment
• Construct patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Experience and commitment to providing evidence-based medication treatment that follows clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement based care, patient-centered care)
• Experience and enthusiasm for working with minors (ages 0-17) in addition to adults

Requirements

• Board certified MD or DO in psychiatry
• Unrestricted state license without current, past, or pending disciplinary action
• Strong preference for clinicians with an active DEA license
• Must have office space with ability to see patients in Conway, SC
• Ability to provide care to patients with a full range of diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who offer in-person options
• Full-time resident of the United States
