Job summary

The Burlington Community School District is seeking a Teacher Associate/Building Associate to support classroom activities at Black Hawk Elementary School. This role assists teachers, supervises students, and helps with daily routines in a high-needs setting.

Educational requirements include a CDA Credential or Paraeducator Certificate and an Associate or Bachelor's degree, along with two years of college. The district is an equal opportunity employer and committed to student success.

Qualifications

CDA Credential or Paraeducator Certificate required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree required.
Two years of college completed preferred.

Responsibilities

Accompany students to activities and help keep them on task.
Assist students with personal hygiene needs and supervise in cafeteria, classrooms, playground, and during patrol duties.
Have computer and typing skills; basic math, science, and reading/writing skills expected.
Able to follow written and oral directions; mobility and the ability to lift required.
MANDT Training and Behavior Management preferred.
May require additional hours to support student bussing needs.
