Job summary

St. Agatha Academy in Winchester, KY is seeking a part-time morning teacher’s aide for our preschool classroom (7:30-12:30). The aide will support the Lead Teacher with curriculum, transitions, and promoting self-help skills in young children.

Ideal candidates are energetic, responsible, and compassionate, with strong communication and classroom-management skills. ETRIS and CMG Connect certifications, and a completed background check are required.

Qualifications

Experience working with students in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
Ability to supervise and work with young students in the classroom or at play
A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all individuals
High School diploma is required
ETRIS certification a must.
CMG Connect certification and background check approved.

Responsibilities

Stimulates emotional, intellectual, and social growth of students by implementing educational programs and activities tailored to assigned class.
Provide safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing facilities; following standards and procedures; complying with legal recommendations.
Encourages development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.
Assists students in lunch room.
Ensures continuous care of children by assuming teaching responsibilities when teacher is absent.
