Job summary

CAPCC is seeking dedicated staff to supervise preschool children, implement an active learning environment, and maintain program records. The role includes data entry, routine development with Creative Curriculum, and fostering positive interactions with children and families.

Requirements include CDA or equivalent education, PA driver’s license, and required clearances. Preferred qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s in ECE and 1 year of preschool experience.

Qualifications

• Current CDA or 2 years of postsecondary study with 60 credits or higher (Required)
• PA driver’s license and reliable transportation (Required)
• Clearances for Child Abuse, PA State Police, FBI Fingerprinting and NSOR required prior to start (Required)
• Vaccination requirements per funding sources (Required)
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 18 ECE credits (Preferred)
• Minimum 1 year professional work experience with preschool children (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Chaperone children and ensure supervision in all settings.
• Assist in implementing an active learning environment.
• Maintain records using Teaching Strategies Gold On-line and data entry three times per program year.
• Help establish routines aligned with Creative Curriculum.
• Foster a positive learning environment and constructive adult-child interactions.
• Observe and assess children and develop lesson plans within required timelines.
• Engage with families through home communications and conferences.
