Sunny Days® Sunshine Center is seeking an energetic Teachers Aide to assist in leading a class of students through the school year. You will support the lead teacher, assess students, and design instruction to meet needs.

Duties include meal prep, assisting with toileting, and ensuring the classroom is ready for students. You will be passionate about learning, with strong creativity and problem solving, connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year consecutive experience in a childcare/preschool setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and classroom management best practices.
• Familiarity with play-based learning and emergent curriculum is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Brightwheel communication app.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and adherence to them.
• Licensing certifications up to date: CPR/First Aid, food handler, etc.
• Willingness for continued education.

• Teach beginning reading and math skills.

You will assist in leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students’ collective and individual needs. Daily tasks will include: preparing meals, assisting with toileting and bathroom breaks, supporting the lead classroom teacher in creating and implementing strategies based on specific academic or emotional goals, and ensuring the classroom space is ready for the students.
