Job summary

Aspire Early Learning Academy is hiring full-time Preschool Teachers for our West Columbia location, with schedules 8:00 am-5:00 pm or 9:00 am-6:00 pm. We seek a caring, dependable teacher who loves working with children under five and understands best practices in early childhood education.

You will support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, follow our curriculum, and create engaging learning experiences while maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Familiarity with health, safety, sanitation, and classroom supervision guidelines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
• Ability to guide children's behavior positively and resolve conflicts appropriately.
• Patient, friendly, dependable, professional, and even-tempered.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using storytelling, play, music, and media.
• Observe and document children's development, supporting social skills and self-esteem.
• Encourage positive interactions and respectful behavior among children.
• Follow the curriculum and lesson plans to create meaningful learning experiences.
• Support early academic, artistic, and practical skills development.
• Maintain an organized classroom schedule and provide active supervision for safety.
• Keep a clean, organized classroom meeting health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with coworkers and administration.
• Follow all policies and guidelines of the Aspire Early Learning Academy.
• Work effectively as part of a small teaching team.
• Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe and valued.
