Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• Holds or is eligible to obtain appropriate VDOE license/endorsement(s).
• May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Knowledge of VDOE Standards of Learning and FCPS curriculum.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and diverse learners.
• Ability to integrate technology and digital tools into instruction.

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers engaging instruction aligned with VDOE standards and FCPS curriculum across grade levels and subject areas.
• Prepares and implements lesson plans using direct instruction, inquiry-based learning, collaboration, and project-based activities.
• Adapts instruction to address diverse learning needs and ensure accessibility for students with disabilities and English learners.
• Uses formative and summative assessments to guide instructional decisions and monitor progress.
• Collaborates with colleagues and families to support student learning and well-being.
• Maintains accurate records of student performance and compliance documentation.
