Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking Preschool Teachers A/B to deliver developmentally appropriate preschool instruction aligned with Head Start standards. You will collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to plan curriculum and monitor child progress in Oregon locations.

Positions require a degree in Early Childhood or related field and relevant experience; metro locations offer higher pay.

Qualifications

• Preschool Teacher A requires an associate degree or equivalent coursework and 6 months of teaching experience.
• Preschool Teacher B requires a bachelor’s degree or higher and 6 months of teaching experience.
• Licensure and background checks per Oregon requirements are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate preschool learning environment.
• Plan and implement curriculum aligned with Head Start standards and best practices.
• Individualize instruction based on observations, assessments, and family goals.
• Conduct developmental screenings and maintain child portfolios and documentation.
• Promote cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development.
• Collaborate with health, mental health, and disabilities staff to support children’s needs.
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress and activities.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to classroom staff and volunteers.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with licensing and program requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and planning activities.
