Job summary

Guardian Angels Catholic Preschool, a faith-based program serving ages 2 through Kindergarten, seeks a Preschool Teacher to oversee classroom instruction, curriculum planning, and student supervision. The role includes communicating with families and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

The teacher will also lead the Creation Care Program, integrating gardening, nutrition, outdoor learning, and parish grounds stewardship into daily activities. Open to growth with enrollment and staffing.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of 12 or more Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Catechist Certification or willingness to obtain certification in accordance with diocesan requirements.
• Experience working with children ages 2 through Kindergarten preferred.
• Interest in gardening, nutrition, outdoor education, and hands-on learning.
• Ability to support the Catholic mission and values of our preschool.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of preschool program for children and their families
• Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and inviting early education preschool environment to maximize the growth and development of every child
• Implement learning activities and opportunities in the early education preschool setting
• Provide training and direction for Preschool Instructional Assistants or other assigned staff
• Work in collaboration with Preschool Instructional Assistants and other teaching staff to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum based on individual assessment of child’s growth and development
• Establish a professional relationship between parents and early education preschool site including conducting parent/teacher conferences to assist parents’ understanding of their child’s development and/or students with issues; participates in daily discussions with parents; engages parents and families in early education preschool activities
