SCOTTSDALE ACADEMY seeks a passionate Preschool Teacher for its Tallahassee campus. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM year-round, inside our Florida Gold Seal Quality Program and nationally accredited early childhood center.

You will craft engaging, play-based lessons, support child development, and document progress while partnering with families. Join a dedicated team that values patience, creativity, and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children and strong classroom presence.
• Patience, energy, reliability, and genuine care for children.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with families and staff.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Credentials in early childhood education are preferred (see requirements).

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver engaging, play-based lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, and academic development daily.
• Use creative teaching methods (storytelling, sensory play, movement, music).
• Maintain a warm, structured daily schedule balancing learning, play, meals, and rest.
• Foster an inclusive classroom where every child feels safe and valued.
• Track and document each child’s progress using school tools.
• Engage families with warm, consistent communication about growth.
• Uphold health, safety, and emergency protocols.

• DCF 45-hour training, CDA credential, or a degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
• Must successfully complete a Level II Background Screening through Florida's clearinghouse.
