Job summary

The Goddard School in Simpsonville, SC is seeking an energetic Preschool Teacher to lead a class through the school year, assessing students' levels and designing instruction to meet needs. You will create engaging lessons and foster a love of learning.

You are passionate about early education and helping each child reach their potential, using creative and supportive methods to connect with students and families in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; Associates or higher degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to adhere to them.

Responsibilities

• Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum.
• Teach early reading and math skills.
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills.
• Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques.
• Communicate with parents and other school personnel.
• Assess students’ skills and performance to ensure developmental milestones are met.
• Follow all SC DSS, DHEC, and Goddard Franchise Health and Safety Policies.
