Job summary

Orange County Head Start, Inc. is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Orange County, California. The role focuses on classroom leadership, preparation, instruction, and family engagement to support school readiness.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree with a Child Development Teacher permit and at least six months of teaching experience in a licensed child care setting. We offer an hourly wage of $26.66–$30.66 plus excellent benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree and Child Development Teacher permit required.

Experience:

Minimum of Six months as a teacher in an ECE of on-the-job training and/or work experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. Experience shall be verified as having been performed satisfactorily, at least three hours per day for a minimum of 50 days in a six-month period, as a paid or volunteer staff member under the supervision of a person who would qualify as a teacher or director under California

Working as part of a team of professionals in a Head Start center a Teacher is responsible and accountable for overseeing the classroom environment and teaching children including preparation, instruction, evaluation, home visits, and parent conferences regarding children’s goals and progress toward school readiness and success in life.

We offer an hourly pay of $26.66 - $30.66 per hour with excellent benefits and the opportunity to serve young children and their families in Orange County.
