Job summary

The South Shore YMCA's Nature Science Center in Norwell, MA invites you to lead a preschool classroom built around dirt, weather, and discovery. As a Preschool Teacher, you will guide young learners through nature-based exploration up to 80% outdoors, rain or shine, delivering hands-on early childhood experiences.

You will create engaging lesson plans, foster relationships with families, ensure safety and inclusion, collaborate with a team, and meet EEC regulations and NAEYC best practices.

Qualifications

• Meet EEC Teacher qualifications.
• Degree in Early Childhood Education (Associate's preferred, Bachelor's a plus).
• Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
• Classroom experience preferred but not required.

Trade the four walls of a traditional classroom for woods, trails, and open sky. At the South Shore YMCA's Nature Science Center in Norwell, MA, you'll lead a preschool classroom built around real dirt, real weather, and real discovery. Physical Demands:

• This role requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, lift up to 25 lbs, and actively engage in activities such as climbing, running, and outdoor play.

Salary and Benefits:

• $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
• Sick time accrual: 1 hour per 30 hours worked.

• South Shore Nature Science Center (SSNSC), Norwell, MA 02061.
• Part-time, MWF 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or TTH 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
