Job summary

Community Resources of Staten Island is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our team serving children in our pre-school programs. The role reports to the Director of Children’s Services and focuses on screening, evaluating, and supporting speech and language development.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, providing therapy, training parents and staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in New York State.
• Experience supporting preschool children.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate students with respect to speech and hearing functions.
• Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluation for each student, including articulation, voice, rhythm, and language.
• Coordinate comprehensive speech and language evaluations for each student and develop specialized programs.
• Provide in-service training for parents and staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations.
• Develop individual education plans and provide summaries for student records.
