Job summary

All About Kids (AAK) is seeking a Preschool Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to provide life skills training, early literacy, and academic enrichment to CPSE students with disabilities in various settings.

Qualifications

• MA/MS and NYS teaching certification in approved special education area.
• Preschool SEIT eligibility and ability to provide life skills and academic enrichment

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one specialized instruction to preschool students with disabilities and collaborate with families and staff.
• Enter session notes, guardian signatures and billing via electronic platform.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team.
• Assess students' progress and modify instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation via data collection of student progress and services provided.
• Update progress four times per year via quarterly reports/annual review reports.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers.
• Adapt curriculum and create instructional materials and visuals to meet diverse learning needs.
• Promote positive behavior and social skills development.
• Participate in training and professional development activities.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Join our team! All About Kids (AAK) is looking to welcome a new Preschool Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to our instructional team to provide life skills training, literary skills, and academic enrichment for preschool (CPSE) students with mental and physical disabilities.

Preschool Special Education Teacher Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one specialized instruction to students with disabilities and classroom staff/family within the routines of their natural environment
• Enter session notes, guardian signatures and billing via an electronic platform
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team
• Assess students' progress and modify instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation via data collection of student progress and services provided
• Update progress four times per year via quarterly reports/annual review reports
• Ongoing co llaboration with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success
• Adapt curriculum and createinstructional materials and visual supportsto meet diverse learning needs
• Promote positive behavior, andsocial skills development and increase peer reciprocal language interactions
• Participate in training and professional development activities
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations and policies

Compensation

$68-$72 per hour
