Job summary

Volunteers of America Greater New York (VOA‑Greater New York) seeks a Speech & Language Pathologist for the Bronx Early Learning Center. The role develops, implements, and evaluates therapy plans for students with speech/language needs.

The position requires NYS certification/licensure and a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Location is Bronx, NY 10457; the program supports children with diverse needs in a vibrant educational setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology is required.
• New York State certification or license to practice is required.
• Valid NYS Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabilities certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech-language skills to determine therapy needs.
• Provide quality speech therapy services to students per IEP.
• Consult with colleagues at team meetings.
• Provide parent training and ongoing communication.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation.
• Provide in-service training and participate in staff development.
• Meet with supervisor on an ongoing basis.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position.

Position: Speech & Language Pathologist

The Speech & Language Pathologist develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans for students with speech/language needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities
• Master's degree in speech-language pathology and/or NYS Professional License as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Speech & Language Pathologist Principal Responsibilities

1. Assess speech-language skills as necessary to determine child's need for therapy.
