Buffalo Hearing & Speech seeks a full-time Special Education Teacher at our Sweet Home Amherst location. You will work with preschoolers in special education classrooms, applying Floortime/DIR, Pyramid model, and Trauma-Informed care.

Responsibilities include evaluating progress, implementing curricula, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop IEP goals. Strong communication with families and attendance at required meetings are expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required.
• New York State Certification as a permanent Special Education Teacher or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (Birth-2 or All Ages) or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and team members.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate each child using formal and informal measures and report quarterly.
• Implement site-specific curriculum and create an inviting classroom environment.
• Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitate 1:1 and small-group instruction and support for speech, language, and readiness skills.
• Attend CPSE and CSE meetings when necessary and provide timely reports.
• Maintain compliant and accurate records and progress notes.
