Job summary

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is seeking a Preschool Early Intervention Long Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist for the Southwest Area (Finance). The role provides speech-language pathology services to 3- to 5-year-old children in least restrictive environments, conducting screenings and evaluations to determine eligibility and developing IEPs in collaboration with families.

Qualifications

• Valid PA certification in Speech Language Impaired K-12.
• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA CCC or CF candidate who has passed the ASHA exam.

Responsibilities

• Identifies eligible students and maintains compliance with regulations through evaluations and IEP development.
• Delivers individual and group speech therapy per IEP across various settings.
• Engages with stakeholders to support families and student outcomes.
• Maintains required paperwork (IEP, Reevaluation Reports, progress monitoring) on schedule.
• Creates caseload schedules across the assigned region for consistent service delivery.
• Keeps current with best practices and regulations through ongoing professional development.
