Job summary

The City of Kirkland's North Kirkland Community Center is seeking a Program Instructor II - Preschool to lead parent/child and preschool activities for ages 1-5, creating fun, active, and age-appropriate learning experiences while building strong relationships with children and families in Kirkland. The immediate need is on Wednesdays, 9:15-11:30 a.m.

for Kids in Motion Movement/Tumbling, with additional classes possible based on interest and program needs.

Qualifications

• Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills are required.
• Ability to interact courteously with the public to acknowledge both compliments and complaints.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs.
• Proficiency in standard computer software, such as Microsoft Office Suite applications Word, Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of parent/child and preschool programs for young children (ages 1-5).
• Create a welcoming and energetic environment for children and caregivers.
• Deliver age-appropriate activities, supervise groups, and ensure safety and engagement.
