Job summary

Hopkins Public Schools is seeking a Preschool Paraprofessional Substitute to assist in classroom preparation and supervise children in the Preschool program at various locations across the district. The role requires providing individualized attention, maintaining a safe and organized classroom, and supporting supervisors with delegated tasks.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Paraprofessional Substitute aids in classroom preparation and the supervision of children during activities in the Preschool program; gives individual attention and support to each child based on varying needs and abilities; maintains a safe, clean, organized classroom environment and performs other tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisors.

Education in and/or experience working with young children; understanding of preschool child development; good communication, cooperation, self-direction, and organizational skills; ability to work effectively with other staff members; punctuality and dependability

Hours of Work:

Substitutes are on an on-call basis. Hours vary from 3 hours a day to an 8 hour shift. Substitute needs are year-round.

Hours & Compensation:

Substitutes are on an on-call basis.
SEIU Contract
Rate: $21.30 per hour.
