Job summary

Everett Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Paraeducator for the Early Childhood program to support 3 and 4-year-olds in a learning and social environment. You will help in the classroom, set up and clean up meals, and assist teachers with implementing IEPs for children with disabilities.

This full-time position requires 48 semester credits or an associate degree, NE Rule 11 compliance, CPR and First Aid certification, and being 19+.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old and meet NE licensing requirements, including CPR and First Aid certification.
• Requires 48 semester college credits (72 quarter hours) or an associate degree.
• State Rule 11 requires at least 12 semester credit hours in early childhood/child development or equivalent.
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Early Childhood classroom with 3- and 4-year-old children.
• Assist breakfast and lunch setup and cleanup.
• Facilitate learning, play and self-help activities.
• Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Programs for children with verified disabilities.
• Perform non-teaching duties as assigned.
