Job summary

Groton Public Schools is hiring NAEYC Preschool Paraeducators for the Mary Morrison Early Childhood Development Center to support preschool students with guidance from SPED staff.

Applicants must have two years of college credit (60 credits), an associate's degree, or ParaPro/ParaPathways; and one of the following: CDA credential or 12 college credits in relevant fields, or willingness to complete online trainings within 12 months. Start ASAP; hourly rate $17.94 per hour per the CBA.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following educational prerequisites: two years of college credit, an associate's degree, or passing the ParaPro/ParaPathways Assessment.
• AND must have one of: CDA credential or 12 college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, and/or early childhood special education, or willingness to obtain through required online training courses within 12 months.
• Ability to work with children with multiple needs and support lessons written by the Special Education Teacher.
• Ability to work cooperatively with Administration, Regular Education Teachers, other staff, and Parents.

• Support children with multiple needs during classroom activities.
