Job summary

Acorn Academy of Madison in Madison, NJ is seeking a dedicated teacher to lead a cohesive teaching team and oversee daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, engaging environment that supports children's development.

You will coordinate the curriculum, implement the Creative Curriculum after training, keep accurate records, and communicate effectively with children and parents to address concerns and celebrate progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience in a classroom.
• Able to communicate orally and in written form in English as well as basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others and to foster a team environment.
• A basic understanding of early child development with the willingness to continue learning.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification - recertification paid for bi-annually.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the Creative Curriculum (after completing the curriculum training).
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Maintain accurate records, forms and files.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
