Job summary

Kids Planet II CDC in Alamogordo, NM seeks a Preschool Lead Teacher / Curriculum Support Specialist to guide daily classroom operations and ensure high-quality early education for ages 3 to 5. You will collaborate with teachers, plan engaging curriculum, monitor safety and licensing compliance, and coordinate field trips, while fostering an inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood education standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to guide and support preschool teachers.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (not required).
• Familiarity with NM childcare licensing standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in planning and implementing curriculum.
• Monitor classroom operations and staff-to-child ratios.
• Maintain educational and behavioral records in compliance with licensing regulations.
• Coordinate field trips and collect necessary permissions and payments.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all state regulations.
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Participate in team planning and staff development activities.
