Job summary

The YMCA in Bangor, ME is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a nurturing classroom and mentor an Assistant Teacher and a Teacher's Aide. You will inspire curiosity, celebrate diversity, and support each child’s growth in a collaborative setting.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Child Development or Education, MRTQ training within 90 days of hire, proven experience in early education, and strong references.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Child Development, Education, or a related field.
• Completion of Maine Early Learning Guidelines Training through the MRTQ Professional Development Network within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience working with children in an early education setting.
• Experience leading an Early Childhood Education classroom.
• Excellent references from recent supervisors.
• Solid job history without a lot of job hopping.
