Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a passionate Preschool Kitchen Manager to join our early childhood education team. You will prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals for 80+ students across 6 classrooms and supervise kitchen staff.

Plan monthly menus per USDA guidelines, submit food orders, ensure health and safety compliance, and maintain organized kitchen operations. This is a fully onsite, 40-hour-per-week role.

• Prepare menus monthly following USDA guidelines and manage food orders.
• Experience cooking for children with various dietary needs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen assistant in meal prep, cleaning, and laundry duties.
• Ensure health, safety, and proper labeling for special diets; report planning ideas.
