Job summary

Agri-Business Child Development (ABCD) in Batavia, NY, is seeking a full-time Teacher II in Training to join a caring early education team. The role focuses on promoting child growth and development, implementing the program standards, and guiding classroom activities under supervision.

Experience with young children and an associate degree are preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus. ABCD offers a supportive environment, holidays, PTO, and tuition assistance to help staff grow

Qualifications

• Preferred: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited institution.
• Accepted: Associate degree in a related field with 6 credit bearing courses relevant to competencies in early childhood education AND experience working with young children.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of children independently under the direction of the Education/Disability Coordinator implementing and complying with the education program standards and coordinating all components of the program as they apply to her/his classroom.
• Promote theories and principles of child growth and development in daily activities.
