Job summary

KinderCare in your community seeks a lead teacher to mentor staff, implement our curriculum, and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom where children can learn and grow. You will partner with families to support development and engage with center leadership to achieve enrollment and accreditation goals.

The ideal candidate will have a CDA or NAEYC candidacy, 2–3 years of ECE experience, and CPR/First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy required or in progress
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain
• 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Able to meet state requirements for the role
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors
• Must read/write/speak English to communicate with children and parents

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum with attention to each child’s needs
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Partner with parents to support child development and education
• Support center success by collaborating with staff and leadership on enrollment and engagement
• Foster positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and community partners
