Job summary

Holy Spirit Elementary in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a Preschool Educational Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. You will support students in Academic Services within the special education program and help promote the school’s Catholic mission and values.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–3:00PM, will collaborate with supervising teachers, and involve duties across tutoring, record-keeping, and adapting instructional materials.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Some post higher training in education preferred.
• Works well with children.
• Knowledge and comfort level verbal and math skills up through middle school.
• Basic competency in computer skills.
• Resourceful & creative to prove adaptations for students.
• Self-starter.

• Ability to adjust to daily changes in task schedule.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission of Bishop O Gorman Catholic Schools.
• Tutor/support students in all academic areas.
• Administer make-up tests.
• Monitor student progress and keep records.
• Confer with supervising teachers.
• Perform various duties as assigned.
