Job summary

Woodburn School District is seeking an Educational Assistant - ECE for Woodburn Preschool to assist the Early Childhood Education Instructor in delivering curriculum and supporting young children in Preschool and Infant/Toddler programs.

The role requires strong communication, bilingual ability (English/Spanish preferred), and experience in an ECE setting. Salary and benefits follow district guidelines. Position is full-time and on-site at Woodburn Preschool.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent by Oregon rule.
• Two-years post-secondary education or an Associate's Degree; or a passing paraprofessional assessment test.
• Have the Step required by the Oregon Child Care Division registry.
• At least 6 months prior experience in a school or ECE environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and carrying out activities for Preschool and/or Infant and Toddler programs.
• Provide care for young children including basic feeding and personal hygiene assistance.
• Assist in preparing classroom and instructional materials aligned with best practices.
• Maintain classroom discipline and communicate with parents/caregivers.
• Assist with data collection for screenings and QRIS guidelines.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide consistency across multiple classrooms.
• Collect data to meet Child Care Division and QRIS standards.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a secure work environment.

Skills
