Job summary

Brown County Schools seeks a Preschool Paraprofessional to assist the classroom teacher in an Early Childhood setting. This role supports instructional, behavioral, and therapeutic activities for young children, including those with disabilities and language needs.

Under supervision, you will help plan and implement activities, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience working with young children preferred.
• Knowledge: Positive work ethic, well organized, strong communication, basic technology skills, and flexibility with diverse students and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to provide positive behavioral support to students in groups and individually.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, development, and implementation of instructional, behavioral, and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with school personnel including teachers, administrators, and therapists.
• Use instructional materials effectively to address individual student needs.
• Support classroom management and positive learning environments.
• Assist with preparation of instructional materials and with evaluation of student performance.
