Job summary

Gilbert Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Child Educator Assistant to support the preschool program. The role involves supervising students, assisting the lead educator, and helping maintain licensed classroom operations in alignment with AZ standards.

Applicants must have at least 6 months of licensed care experience, be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold a valid AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months licensed care experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; coursework in child development, recreation, education, or related field is desirable.
• Must meet AZDHS Child Day Care Center Teacher-Caregiver requirements and hold a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR/First Aid recertification every two years.

Responsibilities

• Support the Child Educator and classroom teacher in supervising preschool students.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and attendance ensuring licensing standards are met.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment aligned with AZ standards.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials, and maintain daily records as required.
• Mentor other assistants and aides as needed.
