Job summary

Roaring Fork School District seeks an Early Childhood Teacher Assistant for Sopris Elementary in Basalt, CO to support the Early Childhood program under the director’s supervision. You will supervise children on and off campus, maintain a safe, organized, developmentally appropriate learning environment, and assist with meals and daily routines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/First Aid training; experience in licensed preschool or child care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed preschool or child care experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid training.
• Ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a variety of children in on- and off-campus settings.
• Maintain a positive, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Assist with meals and snacks and health/safety routines.
• Support individual students and small groups.
• Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress and needs.
• Collaborate with school staff to support program goals.
