Job summary

Holy Family School in Nazareth, part of the Diocese of Allentown, seeks a part-time Preschool Teacher Aide for the school year. You will assist the preschool teacher with daily activities, supervise students, and help maintain a nurturing learning environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and coursework in child development. You will read to groups, coordinate classroom tasks, and communicate parental concerns to the teacher as needed.

Qualifications

• Good writing skills enabling clear communication with students and teachers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding student information.

• Strong communication with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist preschool teacher with student activities during lessons, circle time, story time, outdoor lessons, and meals.
• Escort students to and from restrooms, trips, recess, and meals.
• Interact with students in safe physical activities and help with demonstrations.
• Read to groups and assist in preparing instructional materials and bulletin boards.
• Relay parental concerns to the teacher and maintain student confidentiality.
• Enforce classroom rules and safety policies per Diocese guidelines.
• Learn curriculum and implement activities with or without supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and supervise children at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor, Principal or Preschool Teacher.
