Ashland Roots Community Center in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Center Supervisor to lead daily operations for a preschool program serving ages 2–5, ensuring quality and compliance with licensing requirements.

You will hire and supervise staff, maintain teacher-to-child ratios, manage enrollment, oversee meals, and conduct parent conferences to discuss child development. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Site Supervisor or Master Teacher permit.
• Related supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification and health clearance (TB).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations to ensure quality and licensing compliance.
• Hire, supervise and support center staff; ensure appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain teacher-to-child ratios per licensing; manage enrollment with enrollment staff.
• Oversee daily food program; coordinate with meal staff and nutritional needs.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences and communicate development updates.
• Support outreach to maintain enrollment and collaborate with other directors.
