Job summary

The Learning Experience Oceanside NY is seeking an Assistant Director to lead a vibrant early education center. You will model excellence in care, support families, and partner with a dedicated team to deliver our proprietary curriculum and a safe, engaging learning environment.

You will drive enrollment growth, ensure licensing compliance, supervise staff, manage day-to-day operations including payroll and finances, and organize community events and tours to showcase our programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in daycare or preschool settings.
• Ability to lead a center and manage staff.
• Familiarity with licensing and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and foster trust and inclusivity with staff and families.
• Ensure safety and licensing compliance in the center.
• Recruit, train, coach, and engage current and prospective staff.
• Guide teachers in implementing a proprietary curriculum and lively learning.
• Drive enrollment growth and manage accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Host in-person and virtual tours; organize community events to raise enrollment.
