Job summary

Little Lukes is seeking a dedicated Preschool Behavioral Specialist Assistant in Fulton, NY to support preschool children with behavioral challenges. The role involves implementing Positive Behavioral Support, coaching staff, and coordinating with therapy and special education teams.

The position is part-time (6 hours/day, school-year schedule) with potential summer program work at multiple Little Lukes sites.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children with behavioral needs.
• Experience with early childhood individuals with behavioral challenges in classroom settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team model.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Early Childhood / Special Education / Behavior coursework or degree is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Work with preschool teams to provide training, support, and coordination of activities related to Positive Behavioral Support.
• Assist with the behavioral needs of all students enrolled.
• Implement positive behavior support techniques and behavior intervention plans with specific children.
• Coach classroom staff and therapy/special education team in behavioral strategies.
• Follow all laws governing preschool, childcare standards and privacy regulations.
• Work location includes multiple sites as caseload requires.
