Children of America, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Teacher in New Berlin, WI. You will support the Lead Teacher, help children learn through play, and create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

This role offers an hourly pay of $15.03–$16.36 with a 50% employee childcare discount, opportunities for career growth, TEACH scholarship partnerships, and benefits. Training is provided to help you advance toward a Lead Teacher.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet state childcare licensing requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Interest in early childhood education and child development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
• Support the Lead Teacher with engaging, age‑appropriate learning experiences.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, structured classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
• Communicate professionally with parents, children, and team members.
• Support children's development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical areas.
• Document children’s development and progress as needed.
• Participate in classroom activities, events, and school programs.
• Work toward growing into a Lead Teacher role.
