The Learning Experience – Canton is seeking dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support our early childhood classrooms. Working alongside Lead Teachers, you\'ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where children learn, play, build friendships, and develop new skills every day.

This is a great opportunity for someone with childcare experience who wants to continue developing professionally and potentially grow into a Lead Teacher role. Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
• Reliable, flexible, patient, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
• Engage children in play-based learning, sensory activities, music, art, and early learning experiences.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing and safety requirements.
