Job summary

YMCA Louisville is hiring an Assistant Teacher for the Child Development Center to support the classroom, implement the curriculum, and help each child reach their full potential. You will communicate with parents and fellow staff to ensure a nurturing and safe learning environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining licensing-compliant classrooms, incident documentation, and participating in required trainings. A positive, reliable team member is essential for our community-focused program.

Qualifications

• Ability to care for young children in a group setting.
• Ability to work with others as a team.
• Experience in an Early Childhood setting preferred.
• Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First aid (30 days post hire).
• Core Curriculum Training (60 days post hire).
• Negative TB Test (every two years).
• Minimum age 18 years old.

Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of supervision. Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor.
