• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to relate to diverse backgrounds.
• Supports and adheres to MBC mission, vision, values, and ministry philosophy.
• Self-motivated with ability to work without constant supervision and in a team.
• Proficient in MacOS and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Planning Center and calendar software.
• Ability to develop and maintain a ministry budget.
• Physical capacity to fulfill job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in All-Staff and team meetings.
• Lead the weekend and weekly MBC ministry with execution and implementation.
• Recruit, train, communicate with, and care for volunteers/leaders/staff.
• Oversee curriculum implementation.
• Maintain clear communication with leaders and children’s families.
• Create clean, safe, and fun environments – Kidzway, Preschool worship care, small groups, and Mid-Week program.
• Implement cleaning policies and complete volunteer background checks and character references.
• Help new families connect and feel at home at MBC.
• Lead in planning and executing quarterly events: Summer, Fall, Spring & Winter.
• Equip and resource parents to be the primary discipliners of their kids.
• Track, analyze, and report on the Preschool & Children Ministry status.
• Perform additional duties to support the ministry.

Position: Preschool & Children Director

Category: Full-Time

Note: As our children’s ministry continues to grow our plan is to remove the preschool duties from this position and staff a new part-time preschool position.

Reports to: Pastor

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Preschool & Children Director supports the Preschool (birth-K-5) & Children (1st-5th) Ministry of Mansfield Baptist Church (MBC). This position will partner with families by building gospel-centered environments that are safe, clean, and fun where kids learn to Share Christ and live on mission to Shape Christ Followers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• • Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and have a lifestyle that demonstrates obedience to Him.
• • An active member of Mansfield Baptist Church or willing and able to become one.
• • Has a passion and gifting to lead our families and kids in the mission and values of our church.
• • Ability to assess, critique, and improve systems and processes with a high attention to accuracy.
• • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to people of all backgrounds.
• • Supports and adheres to the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of ministry at MBC.
• • Self-motivated with ability to function effectively without constant supervision, as well as work cohesively within a team environment.
• • Proficient in MacOS and Microsoft Office Suite software and a working knowledge of database (Planning Center) and calendaring software.
• • Qualified ability to efficiently develop and maintain a ministry budget.
• • Physical capacity to fulfill particular job requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Helping new families find a home at MBC through connecting and building relationships
• • Lead in communicating and executing quarterly events: Summer, Fall, Spring & Winter.
• • Equip and resource your parents to be the primary disciplers of their kids.
• • Track, analyze, and report on status of the MBC Preschool & Children Ministry.
• • Additional duties as required to support the overall ministry of MBC.
