Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an AMER Presales Electrical Engineer to shape modular data-center solutions for AI-driven technologies and critical infrastructure. You will lead electrical design concepts, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and develop proposals that meet customer requirements during early engagement phases.

You will leverage CAD tools and electrical design expertise to support sales, ensure code compliance, and deliver robust documentation for deployment across large-scale facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in Electrical power system design.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Strong CAD capabilities including layouts and electrical schematic diagrams, as well as specifics of UPS, DC systems, LV/MV
• Dimensioning and specification of electrical equipment and installations.
• Knowledge of short circuit and protection coordination study calculations and modeling tools.
• Solution-based thinking integrating Mechanical and Electrical components for end-customer deployments.
• Solid written and oral communication to work with multiple teams.
• PC skills: Windows, MS Office incl. Excel, Word, AutoCAD.
• Active English

• Understand codes and standards for electrical power equipment and installations.
• CAD modeling.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, controls, and fire protection teams.
• Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.
• Communicate with customers to propose the best solution.
• Make technical proposals for Vertiv modular/hybrid data center solutions.
• Provide electrical design documents.
• Interpret customer requirements for proposed solutions.
• Support SA and sales team.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proficient in Electrical power system design
• 3+ years of experience
• Good CAD capabilities including the ability to represent layouts and electrical schematic diagrams, as well as specifics of custom electrical sub-systems associated with Uninterruptable Power Supplies, DC systems, LV and MV power distribution systems, diesel gensets
• Dimensioning and specification of electrical equipment and installations
• Knowledge of short circuit and protection coordination study calculations and modeling tools
• Solution-based thinking that will incorporate a multitude of Mechanical and Electrical components in end-customer deployment
• Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architecture and concepts to deployment
• PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD
• Active English
