Job summary

American Packaging Corporation in Story City, IA is seeking a Prepress Operator to prepare and stage press or laminator jobs. You will retrieve daily production schedules, assemble and transport cylinders and anilox, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

This role requires reading job jackets, printing specifications, and SOPs; you will train teammates, follow STOP safety practices, and contribute to efficient press set-ups and warehouse inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience following safety procedures and SOPs.
• Ability to read and interpret job jackets and specifications.
• Wamiliarity with pressroom operations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate on-the-job training for team members on tools and equipment.
• Adhere to STOP Safety Program and safety guidelines to support zero-accident goals.
• Review Job Jackets, Print Specifications, and Manufacturing Specifications before press runs.
• Retrieve daily production schedules and interpret priorities for the press.
• Coordinate with Mounting Dept for production scheduling and staging of jobs.
• Assemble and transport cylinders and anilox between press and prepress departments.
