Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Pre-Press A Operator for our TYLER, TEXAS FACILITY. You will handle all phases of printing plate preparation, including proofing, mounting, demounting, cleaning and storage to ensure plates meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, mounting plates on printing cylinders and sleeves, removing and cleaning plates after the print run, and maintaining storage and mounting equipment.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders accurately and follows specifications.
• Mount printing plates on cylinders and sleeves as per layout.
• Demounts, cleans, and stores plates after print runs.
• Inspects and maintains mounting equipment for optimum condition.
• Adheres to safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to ensure accuracy.
• Mount printing plates on printing cylinders and sleeves per layout.
• Remove and clean plates after finish of print run.
• Ensure proper storage of plates, cylinders and sleeves.
• Inspect and maintain mounting equipment.
• Consult graphics/customer service for print job clarifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE rules.
