Job summary

Embedded Shishya is seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join our busy automotive body shop in Coalville, Leicestershire. This is a stable, long-term role offering a full-time, permanent position with a salary up to £37,000 per annum.

You'll prep vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding and priming, support painting operations, and help maintain a clean, safe workshop. To succeed, you should have proven experience in bodyshops, strong attention to detail and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Vehicle Prepper or related role in a bodyshop.
• Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and prep techniques.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume bodyshop.
• High attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding, filling, and priming.
• Carry out vehicle prep, paint preparation, and surface correction.
• Remove scratches, dents, and minor imperfections prior to painting.
• Work closely with Paint Sprayers to ensure high-quality finish.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join a busy and well-established automotive body shop in Coalville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle preparation and paint support, looking for a stable, long-term role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint including masking, sanding, filling, and priming
• Carry out vehicle prep, paint preparation, and surface correction
• Remove scratches, dents, and minor imperfections prior to painting
• Work closely with Paint Sprayers to ensure a high-quality finish
• Use body shop tools such as sanders, polishers, and prep equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Prep Technician / Bodyshop Prepper
• Strong knowledge of sanding, masking, priming, and prep techniques
• Experience within a body shop, accident repair centre, or automotive workshop
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• High attention to detail and quality

Desirable Skills

• Experience in polishing, buffing, and finishing
• Previous support to Paint Sprayers
