Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a Team Member to assist the Team Leader with daily operations, including profitability, merchandising, labor, and compliance. You will develop Team Members, deliver friendly service, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with focus on customer service.
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety policies applicable to retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops / maintains awareness of new products.
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures paperwork is submitted for vendor processing.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Acts as point person in absence of Team Leader and upholds standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment, teamwork, and high morale.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
• Directs Team Members to satisfy customer needs and inquiries.
• Trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members; conducts performance evaluations.
