Whole Foods Market is seeking a Prepared Foods Team Leader to provide overall leadership for the Prepared Foods team and manage daily operations including profitability, labor, and compliance at our Seattle-area location.

The role emphasizes hiring, development, and performance management, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store standards in pricing, merchandising, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Retail leadership experience and team management responsibilities.
• Must have food safety certification or commit to obtaining within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Ability to analyze financial performance and control costs.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
• Proficiency with email, MS Office, and operations software.

Responsibilities

• Hold ATLs, supervisors and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Builds a positive work environment of teamwork and morale.
• Makes hiring and separation decisions.
• Monitor and achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Maintains proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Establishes collaborative relationships with department leaders and vendors.
• Keeps knowledge of competitors and industry trends up to date.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Directs staff to satisfy and delight customers.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
