Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Leader-focused individual to assist in daily operations, drive profitability, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The role emphasizes supervisory support, team development, and maintaining exceptional customer service across the store.

Responsibilities include merchandising, analytics on sales and labor, and sustaining high-performance teams while upholding WFM standards and store programs.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops/maintains awareness of new products.
• Maintains good vendor relationships and ensures paperwork is submitted for vendor processing.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Functions as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution.
• Fosters and encourages a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and morale.
• Communicates and models WFM vision and goals.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs Team Members to satisfy customers.
• Selects, trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members; provides timely evaluations.
