Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart, Inc. is seeking a Preparation Touch-Up Specialist in Cedar Park, TX. You will inspect products for defects, determine repair needs, and perform touch-ups to ensure items look their best before customers see them.

You will buff scratches, apply putty or lacquer, match colors, and assist with color matching and upholstery work. This role also involves inventory tracking, safe handling of chemicals, and working flexible hours including nights and weekends to support store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical or Trade school certificate in Furniture repair OR 1–2 years of furniture repair/touch up experience.
• Positive, upbeat attitude.
• Ability to lift/push/pull required weights.
• Ability to operate all hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to match colors and simulate wood grain.
• Operate scanning equipment preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check.

NFM's Preparation Touch-Up Specialist is responsible for making minor repairs and touch-ups, to ensure that the product is looking top-notch before it reaches our customers.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life
