Roots Natural Kitchen in Pittsburgh is looking for a prep crew member to support daily food preparation and station cleanliness. You will collaborate with the back-of-house team and Kitchen Leader to ensure ingredients are prepped and organized, setting the stage for a well-run kitchen.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow as the restaurant expands and welcomes new crew members.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Willingness to learn recipes and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper food handling methods.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work station.
• Prepare delicious food, day-in and day-out.
• Maintain positive and cheerful attitude during all shifts.
• Report to Kitchen Leader with any food quality concerns.
• Follow all recipes and instructions, with guidance from the Kitchen Manager.
• Lift and transport moderately heavy food items and kitchen equipment, as needed.
